The Lady Mohawk volleyball teams have been busy preparing for their coming season for several days, as they'll be the first of the school's teams to see action. The Tribe, under longtime coach Melissa Williams, will play on the first day of school, Thursday, Aug. 19, in a jamboree at Westside.

"We play Paragould, Jonesboro and Westside next Thursday night, we've gotta do everything we can right now to get ready," Williams noted at Tuesday morning's practice.

The Lady Mohawk are gathering from 7 to 9 a.m. daily as they prepare for the season, and re-load after missing the state tournament for the first time in nine seasons.

We'll feature a complete season preview, and team photos, in the print and online Aug. 18 edition of The Piggott Times.
