Golf teams continue to roll

The Mohawk golf teams continued to roll through the fall season, with the boys taking top honors at a match Thursday at the Victory Lake Golf Course at Corning.

According to Coach Nikki Speer, Logan Murray led all the boys as low medalist with a 38 as the Tribe beat Corning, Hoxie, Marmaduke and Tuckerman.

In girls play it was Kayla Morgan of the Lady Mohawks with a 56 in individual play. In girls team play it was Corning with a 173 to take top honors. They edged out Hoxie by five strokes as Mikayla Morrow shot a 53 for the Lady Bobcats.

Logan Murray's 38 was just one stroke better than teammate Hayden McMillon, who shot a 39, and just two up on Tanner Murray and his round of 40. Meanwhile, Blake Morgan shot a 45, and Spencer Coomer and Austin Murray each carded a 51.

The Bulldogs of Tuckerman ran a distant second with a 135, while the host Corning Bobcats took third with a 138, Hoxie was fourth with a team score of 145 and the Greyhounds of Marmaduke finished with a score of 158.
