Richard Donald Clark

Bedford, Texas -- Richard Donald Clark, 81, went to be with his heavenly Father on Saturday, July 17, 2010, at home.

Richard was born Sept. 12, 1928, in Piggott, Ark. He was the son of Homer and Audrey Mae Clark. He was one of six children. Richard married Betty Jo in Piggott, Dec. 1, 1950. To this union, three children were born. He served in the Air Force for four years. He was a resident of Bedford for 52 years and was employed by the FFA as an air traffic controller for 20 years.

He was a member of First Baptist of Hurst. He enjoyed fishing, golf and camping.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Jo Clark; daughter, Debra Clark Jones; sons, Tony Clark and wife, Carla, and David Clark and wife, Kari Jean; grandchildren, Rebecca Weiss and husband, Mark, Philip Clark and wife, Crystal, Aaron Clark and wife, Kalee, Justin Clark and Brittany Clark; four stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Joan Teague.

Celebration of his life was at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at the First Baptist Church in Hurst.
