With the PHS Marching Mohawk band providing the background music, members of the golf, volleyball and football teams were introduced to those in attendance.
Coach Nikki Speer introduced both the boys and girls golf teams and reported on their early season success. She also reminded those on hand that the Tribe will be hosting the district golf tournament later this month at Sugar Creek Country Club.

Michael Harrell introduced the members of the seventh grade and junior high Mohawk football team. The squads will open their seasons on the road next Thursday, Sept. 9, as they visit the Westside Warriors.
Coach Dave Hendrix did the honors of introducing the 2010 Piggott Mohawk senior football team and reminded fans that they will open their season at home Friday night against Marked Tree.

The Queens scored on the first play of the game and led 6-0 throughout much of the contest. Late in the game the Sistahs tied the contest at 6-6, then got the go ahead score with just seconds remaining to win the "Scratch and Claw Trophy" by a final of 12-6.
The "Swagga Queens" were coached by Kyle Phillips and the roster included Alex Scheffler, Emily Daniels, Kayla Morgan, Katy Strickland, Kayla Depper, Bailey Reagan, Jillian Parker, Lauren Brown, Whitney Blackmon and Kailyn Conley.
The roster for the winning "Soul Sistahs" included Arielle Cate, Kalea cox, Taelor Lewis, Shelby Moore, Logan Buchanan, Betsy McHaffey, Jenna Brown, Taylor McGuire, Chelsea Bageant and Amber Beck. The squad was coached by Billy Joe Seal.
Doing a great job with the halftime show was the cheerleading squad of Blake Morgan, Colby Lovelace, Connor Rodery, Hayden McMillon, Jake Poe, Kyle Hardin, Kyle Wright, Luke Yount, Matt Cole, Tanner Murray, Zack Howell and Zac Taylor.
The powder puff football game was organized by Julie McMillon of the Mohawk Booster Club.
