Clay County Times-Democrat: Obituaries: Clifton "Gene" Treat (01/06/11)

Clifton "Gene" Treat, son of the late Troy C. Treat and Emma E. (Neeley) Treat, was born June 21, 1956 in Gideon, Mo. and departed this life on Dec. 30, 2010 at the age of 54 years, six months and nine days.

Survivors include two daughters, Shawna Davis and husband Will of Puxico, Mo. and Emily Treat of Puxico, Mo.; four brothers, Ronnie Treat and wife Jerrie, Troy Treat, Jesse Philpot and Michael Philpot; four sisters, Sandy, Donna Nixon, Becky and Ellen, all of Piggott; granddaughter Mikayla Smith; nephews Kevin Treat and Brian Treat; niece Jennifer Stark and many other relatives and friends.

Clifton was preceded in death by one sister, Penny Bradshaw; a sister-in-law, Brenda Treat and a niece, Melisa Wilburn.

Visitation was held Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Services followed Saturday at McDaniel Chapel with pastor Dennis Brandt officiating. Burial was in Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, Mo.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett was in charge of the arrangements.
