Lawrence Henry Deringer, 74, of Rector, died Friday, March 4, 2011, at the Piggott Community Hospital.

Mr. Deringer was born March 19, 1936, in Bragg City, Mo., to Henry and Maggie Deringer. He was a retired logger and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two sons, Mark (Shirley) Deringer of Corning and Allen Deringer of Marmaduke. He is also survived by one sister, Rosie Head of Doniphan, Mo., and 10 grandchildren, Nick Deringer, Nicole Deringer Beck, Crystal Hill, Amy Southard, Shane Bollman, Ashley Nicole Kempen, Molly King, Frank White, John White and Donny White.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Deringer; one son, John Deringer; one brother, Samuel Deringer, and one step-grandson, Matthew White.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Monday, March 7, at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Marlen Ray officiating. Burial followed in Bardley Cemetery, Bardley, Mo.

Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 6, at Mitchell Funeral Home of Rector.
