Basil D. Kilbreth
Basil D. Kilbreth, 75, of Herschel, Ill., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011 at his home.
He was born Sept. 17, 1935 in the Boydsville community, and was the son of Candy (Carol) and Rottie Kilbreth.
He was united in marriage to Marilyn Hemp on June 11, 1955 in Clifton, Ill.
He served as Road Commissioner for Pilot township for 20 years.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Bobbie Jo, and two sisters, Pat Cate and Carolyn Fretz.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn of Herschel, Ill.; three daughters, Dianna and husband Michael Rayer of Wisconsin, Vickie and husband Francisco Moreno of Cypress, Tex. and Karen and husband Kenneth Wood of Brighton, Colo.; one brother, Barry and wife Pat Kilbreth of Piggott, Ark.; three sisters, Judy and husband, Larry Elmore of Campbell, Mo., Kay and husband Bob Davis of Campbell, Mo. and Janet and husband Ray Charpie of Summersville, S.C.; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Herschel, Ill. Burial was in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
