Mary Earlene Shelton
Mary Earlene Shelton, 90, of Rector died Wednesday, July 20, at her home in Rector.
Mrs. Shelton was born Oct. 28, 1920, in Rector to Benjamin and Nora Wagster. She was a homemaker and a member of the General Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Timmy Shelton and fiance Kathy and Earl Dean and wife Marsha Shelton of Hot Springs; a daughter, Patricia and husband Jim Mabrey of Rector; six grandchildren and spouses, Tallah and Allan Rabjohn, Trevor Shelton and friend Emily, Lisa and Todd Rees, Kristen and Scott West, Lance and Joann Mabrey, and Thomas Harris; three great-grandchildren, Jacob West, Morgan Rees and Kellon Mabrey, and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Myrl Shelton; parents, Benjamin and Nora Wagster; three brothers, Vyron, Vernon and Van Wagster; a sister, Imogene Pinnik, and two great-grandchildren, Zachary Rees and Kenzie Rabjohn.
Visitation was Friday evening, July 22, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the First General Baptist Church in Rector. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 23, at the First General Baptist Church in Rector with Marston Carpenter officiating. Burial followed in the Woodland Heights Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jim Mabrey, Lance Mabrey, Trevor Shelton, Allan Rabjohn, Scott West, Todd Rees and Jacob West. Mitchell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
