Gary Lynn Harris
Gary Lynn Harris, 55, of Phoenix, Ariz., died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011.
He was born to the late Charlie "Bob" and Pauline Fitzgerald Harris on March 26, 1956, in Piggott, Ark.
Gary worked in construction until recently when he had to retire due to failing health. During his career, he worked for construction companies that built much of modern Branson and Independence, Mo. He was transferred to Phoenix, where he remained until his death.
Gary was avid in sports; he will be remembered for his baseball pitching, as well as his desire for playing basketball.
Gary is survived by one son, Lynn Norman, and two grandsons, Johnathan and Justin Norman, all of Indianapolis, Ind.; one sister and brother-in-law, Norma Jean Batchelor and husband Larry of Dexter, Mo.; one niece, Kim Crabtree and Danny Null of Naylor, Mo.; one nephew, Johnny Crabtree and wife Tammy of Farmington, Mo.; five great-nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation was held Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, at Irby Funeral Home in Piggott. Graveside service followed at Piggott Cemetery with Brother Gary Gelsinger officiating.
Irby Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of arrangements.
