Mary Catheline McCormick

Mary Catheline McCormick, 84, of Campbell, Mo., formerly of Piggott, Ark., passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, at her home.

She was born on Jan. 12, 1928, in Humboldt, Tenn., and was the daughter of the late Albert and Flora Holt Speer.

She was united in marriage to Floyd "Tuck" McCormick on March 9, 1946, and to this union seven children were born.

Catheline was a member of Calvary's Call Church in Campbell, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd McCormick; daughter, Paulette Turner; four brothers, Hollis, Roy, Vernon and Ed Speer, and sister, Lottie Reeves.

Survivors include six children, Brenda Glover and husband Gaylon of Holcomb, Mo., Douglas McCormick and wife Susan of Blytheville, Ark., Patsy Ann Holifield and husband Michael of Jonesboro, Ark., Mary Ruth Williams and husband Steve of Campbell, Mo., Kathy Collins of Piggott, Ark., and Sheila Crane and husband Luther of Campbell, Mo.; 24 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Speer of Trenton, Tenn.; sister, Lavern Scholtz of Chicago, Ill., and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Luther Crane officiating. Burial followed in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Ark.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Matt and Jason McCormick, Chad Holifield, Gene and Anthony Glover, Doug Williams and Marcus, Joe and Dustin Crane. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Ark., was in charge of the arrangements.
