Kenneth Wayne Hampton, Jr., 52, of Paragould, died Thursday, March 1, 2012, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.

Born May 9, 1959, in Rector, Mr. Hampton was an employee of Emerson Electric and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, Kenneth Wayne, Sr. and Glenda L. Hampton of Marmaduke; his mother, Glenda Bozark of Paragould; stepfather, Johnny Bozark of Marmaduke; five sons, Aaron (Kelly) Hampton of Paragould, Chris (Sarah) Wheat of Florence, Ala., Dustin (Ty) Wheat of Jonesboro, Tyler Wheat and Tanner Wheat, both of Piggott, and two daughters, Gabrielle (Richard) Smith of Rector and Katelyn Hampton of Paragould.

He is also survived by two brothers, David (Shelly) Hampton of Marmaduke and Brian (Lisa) Hampton of Paragould; three sisters, Kathy (Michael) Lyerly of Paragould, Ginny (Clint) McCord of Monette and Tammy (Cliff) Edwards of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; his companion, Betty, of Paragould, and four grandchildren.

Visitation was from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at Mitchell Funeral Home of Paragould.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 4, at Marmaduke First Baptist Church with Kim Bridges officiating. Burial followed in Harvey's Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home.
