Wilma L. Johnson
Wilma L. Johnson, 62, of St. Francis, Ark., passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at the Piggott Community Hospital.
She was born Dec. 1, 1949, in Doniphan, Mo., and was the daughter of the late Virgil and Virgie Shirley Brown.
She was united in marriage to James Childers on June 25, 1966, in Holcomb, Mo. He preceded her in death in November 1974.
She was united in marriage to Paul Johnson on Sept. 4, 1982, at Malden, Mo. He preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 2007.
Wilma was of the Baptist faith and her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Carl Brown, Henry Brown and Manfred Brown; sisters, Faye Walker and Lorraine Tessner, and her granddaughter, Stephanie Childers.
Survivors include her children, James Childers of Piggott, Ark., Jeff Childers and wife Linda of St. Francis, Ark., and Steven Childers and wife Traci of Fort Bragg, N.C.; grandchildren, James II, Leisa, Katelyn, Leah, Amber, Steven II, Jennifer, Tonya and Cameron; great-grandchildren, Samanda, Andrew and Conner; sisters, Linda West of Braggadocio, Mo., and Lisa Helton of Malden, Mo.; brother, Jimmy Brown of Malden, Mo.; brother-in-law, James Tessner of Malden, Mo., and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 30, 2012, in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Randy Dalton officiating. Burial was in Gravel Hill Cemetery in St. Francis, Ark.
Pallbearers were Dale Pence, Andrew Pence, Carlos Crittenden, Jerry Blackwell, Joe Gates and Joe Brown. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Ark., was in charge of arrangements. Visitation was held Friday until service time.
