Car show logo designed by local artist
With the Piggott Heritage Park Car Show just weeks away, organizers have reported this year's t-shirts will go on sale next week.
As part of a special change, the logo for the 14th annual show was designed by local native and PHS grad Caleb Morris. Morris met Saturday with board members of the Piggott Area Chamber of Commerce to review his design. The initial order for shirts was placed with the company where Morris works, Knockout Graphix of Paragould.
"We're proud to have Caleb design this year's logo, and we're looking forward to offering the t-shirts for sale next week," noted car show co-chairman Tim Blair. "They'll be available at the depot, The Treasure Chest, Piggott Florist, Front Porch Flea Market, Sugar Creek Kids and at several other local merchants."
The annual car show and cruise will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 18, 19 and 20, with most of the activities going on at Heritage Park. Organizers also noted entries are being accepted, and vendors are currently being sought for the event.
"The early entry period ends May 1, and everyone that enters prior to that date will be included in a $100 cash drawing," noted car show co-chairman Brian Haley. "We encourage everyone to get their entries in early, plus the registration fee is $30 until that date and will be $40 afterward."
