Frank Weldin Wimberley
Frank Weldin Wimberley, 90, of Rector died Sunday, April 8, 2012, at NHC Healthcare in Kennett, Mo.
Born in Leonard, Ark., he was a lifelong farmer in the White Oak, Leonard and Rector area. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was an elder at the Fifth and Pine Church of Christ in Rector.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ruth Mildred Wimberley of the home; a daughter, Dana Hayes of Jonesboro; a son, Lynn Wimberley (Gin) of Jonesboro; four grandchildren, Joel Hayes, Neal Wimberley (Ashley), Lee Wimberley and Jana Schimming (Wade); nine great-grandchildren, Jacob and Marissa Hayes, Anna and Maggie Wimberley, Audrey and Ben Schimming and Ladd, Landry and Lawson Wimberley, and a brother, Ted Wimberley (Virginia) of Charleston, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Gray and Geneva (Boyd) Wimberley; one brother, Boyd Wimberley; one sister, Geraldine Presson, and his son-in-law, Doyne Hayes.
Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2012, at the Fifth and Pine Street Church of Christ in Rector.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, also at the Fifth and Pine Street Church of Christ in Rector, with Ken Roden and James Henry Dortch officiating. Burial followed in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.
Pallbearers were Joel and Jacob Hayes, Neal Wimberley, Lee and Ladd Wimberley, Wade Schimming and Sam Boyd. Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Tracer, Jimmy Don Crews, Pete Boyd, Bill and Rowdy Hayes.
Memorials may be made to the Fifth and Pine Street Church of Christ Scholarship Fund, The Paragould Children's Home or the Alzheimer's Association.
