Carl Ross Dodds
Carl Ross Dodds, 85, passed away April 29, 2012, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.
He was born Jan. 3, 1927, at Oak Grove, Ark., to Ballard and Winnie Dodds. He was an Army veteran of World War II and Vietnam, liked to fish and play bingo and was a member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a daughter, Regina Suprenant; son-in-law, Buzz Robinson; one brother, Lige Dodds, and one sister, Martha Mae Dodds.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Dodds of the home; one daughter, Linda Robinson of California; three step-sons, Denny, Gary and Steven McKay; one sister, Winnie Harper; four grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild and 11 step-great-grandchildren.
The family received friends from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Phillips Funeral Home in Paragould. Funeral services began at 2 pm. Tuesday with Royce Boling officiating. Burial followed at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Rector.
Pallbearers were Charles Noel, Steve McKay, Brad Thomas, Mike Short, Mark Thomas and Bobby McKay.
The family requests memorials be made to Brown's Chapel Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
