Kathleen (Clifford) Rogers

Kathleen (Clifford) Rogers, 89, of Paragould, formerly of Rector, passed away April 27, 2012, at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. She was born July 9, 1922, to the late Henry and Nell (Pearson) Montgomery in Clay County, Ark. She owned flower shops in Rector and Kennett for a number of years and was President of Arkansas Florist. She was a Feature Designer and taught design Schools from Boston, Mass., to Texas and all of the East Coast.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husbands, Jack Clifford, Bob Talbert and Myron Rogers; her brothers, Cloyce and Wayne Montgomery, and one sister, Lucille Holifield.

Surviving Kathleen are a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Jerry Winn of Lafe; two granddaughters, Tammy and Joe Higgins of Columbus, Miss., and Teia and Richard Burks of Marmaduke; three great-grandchildren, Hanna Higgins, Cory Burks and Victoria Burks, and a great-great-granddaughter, Veronica James.

Visitation was Saturday, April 28, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Irby Funeral Home in Rector. Funeral services were Sunday, April 29, 2012, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Mace Straubel officiating.
