Mohawk camp welcomes young players

A talented group of young participants was the highlight of the 2012 Mohawk Basketball Camp

The next generation of hoop stars took the court last week for the annual Mohawk Basketball Camp on May 21-23.

A strong group of young athletes turned out for the event, taking the opportunity to further hone their basketball skills or receive an introduction to the game.

Several awards were presented throughout the final day of the camp. Outstanding Camper awards, the top honor given out, were presented to Taylor Seal and Ben Holcomb.

Other awards included:

Third and fourth grades--Cooper Harris, Dribble Tag, Free Throw and Obstacle Course; Madison Rahn, Hot Shot and Obstacle Course; Kaylee Edwards, Free Throw and Holden Tarno, Hot Shot.

Fifth and sixth grades--Emilee Seegraves, Dribble Tag and Obstacle Course; Brett Burns, Dribble Tag and Free Throw; Lexi Herren, Hot Shot and Free Throw; Dalton Morris, Hot Shot and Trey Gossett, Obstacle Course.

Organizers for the camp were pleased with the campers efforts during the event, noting everyone had a good time on the court.
