James David Hunter
David Hunter, 61, of Tulsa, passed away from this life Friday, June 8, 2012 in Tulsa. He was born July 6, 1950 in Piggott, Arkansas the son of Hershel B. and Ruth (Causey) Hunter.
David received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Arkansas and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University. He worked for CE Natco for 13 years, prior to working 10 years in the environmental laboratory business. He was currently co-owner and vice president of Electrotch, Inc., which is a manufacturer of specialty high voltage components.
David was a member of the University of Arkansas Alumni Association. He enjoyed playing golf and being involved in church activities at Red Fork Church of God, where he was a longtime member. His favorite thing to do was spend time and play with his three grandchildren.
His survivors include his father, Hershel B. Hunter of Tulsa; sons, Kris Hunter and wife, Stacy of Glenpool and Brett Hunter and wife, Brooke of Jenks; brother, Dennis Hunter and wife, Fran of Wichita, Kan; grandchildren, Isaac and Jacob Hunter of Jenks, and Aubrey Hunter of Glenpool; and nephews, Brad and Mark Hunter both of Wichita, Kan.
Visitation was held Monday, June 11, at the Heath-Griffin Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 12, at the Red Fork Church of God, and burial followed at the Rolling Oaks Cemetery, under the direction of Heath-Griffith Funeral Home.
The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
