Saturday, Nov. 24 was designated as "Small Business Saturday" for 2012. The day following what has become known as "Black Friday" for its history of putting retailers in the black for the year, is the day set aside to remember that small businesses made this country what it is today. The day is also set aside as a reminder to consumers to buy locally from small businesses whenever they can.
