Michelle Calhoun of Corning suffered life-threatening injuries when her vehicle struck this tree along Highway 90 near Boydsville last Thursday morning.
The accident is believed to have occurred around 8 a.m. It is believed Calhoun lost control of her Chevrolet HHR while traveling east on Highway 90, coming out of a curve along the roadway, which resulted in the vehicle crossing the opposite lane and entering a field along the roadside before striking a tree head-on and coming to rest. Portions of barbed wire fencing at the field were destroyed when the vehicle left the roadway.
The Clay County Sheriff's Department, Arkansas State Police and AMMC ambulance crews were called to the scene.
