Mrs. Glenda Faye Duncan, a resident of McCrory, Ark., died Wednesday, December 26, 2012.

Mrs. Duncan was born in Piggott, Ark. on February 24, 1950 to Norman and Alma (Holman) Elkins. On July 15, 1978 she became the bride of Mr. Billy Duncan and became a wonderful wife, mother, homemaker, neighbor and friend. She was a 1968 graduate of Piggott High School, earned a degree from Southern Baptist College in Walnut Ridge and went on to Arkansas State University where she earned her Master's Plus degree.

Mrs. Duncan was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Gregory Homemaker's Club, Cotton Plant Hypsion Club, Ladies American Legion and the Woodruff County and Arkansas Retired Teachers Association.

While teaching school, she taught every grade at one time or another, from kindergarten to 12th grade.

She is survived by, her husband of 34 years, Mr. Billy Duncan of McCrory, Ark.; one daughter, Heather Trusty and husband Nick and daughter Lily Faye of Greenbrier, Ark.; one step-son, Nathan Duncan of Benton, Ark.; one sister, Marilyn Short and husband Nick of Fagus, Mo. and two brothers, Mike Elkins and James Elkins, both of Piggott.

Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Cotton Plant, Ark. Burial was in the Augusta Memorial Park Cemetery at Augusta, Ark.

Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home of McCrory was in charge of the arrangements.
