Charles L. Morrisett, 64, of Pollard, Ark., passed away January 31, 2013, at the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Ark.
He was born on February 17, 1948, in Boydsville, Ark., and was the son of the late Norman William Morrisett and Normadene M. (Petty) Morrisett Lankford.
He was united in marriage to Carolyn Brandon on April 12, 1974.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Morrisett of the home; three daughters, Christie Emmons and husband Phillip of Kennett, Mo., Leslie Gearhart and husband Jeremy of Cordova, Tenn. and Julia Bristow and husband Blake of Jonesboro, Ark.; sister, Carolyn Hollis and husband Elmo of Piggott, Ark.; six grandchildren, Aerial, Hallie, Canon, Kaden, Cruz and Josslyn; niece, Carrie Anthony and husband Allen of Hot Springs, Ark.; great niece, Halea and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, in the South Thornton Church of Christ in Piggott with Jerry Morgan and Kevin Murray officiating. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Ark. Pallbearers were Zack Baker, Kenny Speer, Danny Calhoun, Mark Williams, Britt Allmon and Doyne Bowers. Honorary pallbearers were Sonny Hommel, Tony Horner and Gary Dunlap. Visitation was held Friday at Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Ark.
