Dutka Named to Top Spot at Clay County D.H.S.
Annette Dutka has been named county administrator for the Clay County Department of Human Services (D.H.S.) office. Dutka has worked 15 years for D.H.S, most recently as the program eligibility coordinator for Greene County. In Greene County she supervised a staff of 12 caseworkers.
Dutka is a graduate of Class 3 of the Mid-South Delta Leaders; an 18 month program funded by Kellogg's Corporation and put together by Arkansas State University, Delta State University, and Grambling State University. She also has an Associate Degree from Mid-South Christian College of Memphis, Tenn. and has studied at Arkansas State University and Black River Technical College.
Dutka replaces her husband, Duane Dutka, who recently retired from D.H.S. She was born and raised in Piggott, daughter of the late Kenneth and Rita Mowery, and is a graduate of Piggott High School. The Dutkas have two children, Amanda and Adam, four grandchildren and two step grandchildren. The couple enjoys traveling in their spare time. Dutka also enjoys doing missionary work in Ukraine, along with her husband.
"I look forward to working with community organizations," she said of the job ahead. "Clay County DHS is here to serve the citizens of Clay County."
Dutka serves on the Black River Technical College's Advisory Council for Adult Education. She has been a board member of the Clay County Single Parent Scholarship Fund for the past several years and did volunteer work for the Clay County D.H.S. office prior to going to work in Greene County.
