Dayron "Blinky" Hartwick

Dayron J. "Blinky" Hartwick, 88, of North Little Rock, Ark., passed away on March 9, 2013. He was born on September 29, 1924 in Quitman, Ark. to Austin and Vida (Qualls) Hartwick. Mr. Hartwick was a Retired SMSgt in the Arkansas Air National Guard, serving in World War II and in the Korean War. He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a 50-year member of Crescent Lodge No. 403. He was a beekeeper, was active with the Beekeeper's Association, and was a charter member of the Bradford -- Ross Hunting Club.

Mr. Hartwick is survived by his wife of 38 years, Dorothy Hartwick of North Little Rock; three daughters, Linda Curran and husband Mike of North Little Rock, Dian Johnson and husband Jamey of Springdale, Ark. and Lisa Conley and husband Marty of Pollard, Ark.; two sons, Lynn Hartwick and Chuck Morgan both of North Little Rock; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Taylor Phelps.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 13 at the First United Methodist Church on JFK Blvd in North Little Rock. Burial will be in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, a Smith Family Funeral Home.
