Local Gospel Singer Set to Record CD
Mark Cave, Jr., of Pollard, grew up singing in church and his love for gospel music continues. His favorite gospel group was The Cathedrals, his inspiration for someday becoming a southern gospel singer.
Cave answered God's call to go into the music ministry in 2007 at age 17. "I grew up having dreams of one day becoming a gospel singer but I never thought that dream would come true," he noted. "I am humbled every time I grace the stage and share the good news of our Savior through southern gospel music."
Today using his strong tenor voice, Cave brings his blend of gospel music and the gospel message to churches throughout Arkansas and Missouri.
He also appears in concerts, conventions, fairs, rodeos, nursing homes and talent shows, sharing his church ministry on a love-offering basis.
Recently he had the opportunity to share the stage with a number of well known gospel singers at the 16th Annual World Premiere Gospel Concert.
Saturday April 6, Mark's career will take yet another turn as he is scheduled to record his first live CD at the Melody Theater in Leachville. The CD will be titled "Give a Little Love."
The show will be held beginning at 6:30 p.m. with a special pre-show performance by Danny Riddle of New Port Richey, Fla. Ken Jones of Jonesboro will serve as master of ceremonies.
The theater is located at 301 South Main Street in Leachville.
Cave invites everyone to come out and pack the theater for this special recording event, and promises to sing several old fashioned hymns the audience is sure to enjoy.
