Performers from across Clay County took to the stage Saturday night for a gospel concert to benefit Relay For Life and the fight against cancer. The show, which celebrated the 100th anniversary of the formation of the American Cancer Society, was held at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Piggott.
The evening opened with a welcome from Bobby Shanklin of Piggott, and continued with a performance by the all-star Heavenly Highway Choir. Also performing were the Hitt's Chapel Quartet, Rodney Rouse and Phil Daffron, Michael Hollis, Velma Phelan, Jamie Wilson, Kala Floyd, Crystal Hearn, Bro. Kevin Murray, the Piggott Church of Christ Choir, Bailey Haney, Jim Copelin, Deanne Yount, Sophia Townsend, Enoch Richardson, Mark Cave, Megan Johnson and the Hitt's Chapel Youth Praise Band.
At the conclusion all the performers gathered for a rousing rendition of "Amazing Grace."
