Bual Doyce Cox
Bual Doyce Cox, 80, of Rector, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
He was born Feb. 15, 1933, in the White Oak community of Clay County, to Clyde and Gertie Cox. Mr. Cox retired from Fibercraft/Pioneer Engineering of Dearborn, Mich. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and enjoyed fishing. He was a Mason and a member of Fifth and Pine Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Stafford of Rector; one son, William Cox of Woodhaven, Mich.; one stepdaughter-in-law, Pat Wilde of Trenton, Mich. And one stepdaughter, Pat Clapper of Madison Heights, Mich. He is also survived by two half-sisters, Kay Williams of Gulfport, Miss. and Faye Matlock of Lagrange, Ga.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Sunday evening at Mitchell Funeral Home Rector.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 20 at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Ken Roden and Louie Cordell officiating. Burial followed in Woodland Heights Cemetery.
Pallbearers included Larry Walker, Larry Warren, Charles Smith, Johnnie Bozark, Doran Thompson and Clarence Huffman.
