Rector Shooting Teams Enjoy Success

Rector sport shooters have been enjoying good success this spring.

Rector teams continued to stand out in Arkansas Youth Shooting Sports Program events, with three teams performing well last month at Batesville.

The Camo With Ammon junior squad finished second in their division with a team score of 223, falling just short to top finisher Cave City at 229. Hunter Ellis led Rector with a score of 47 out of 50. Chase Scott and Garrett Groves scored 44 each. Blake Boyd finished with 38, while Alec Smith scored 33.

Rector's Clay Slayers finished with a score of 141, competing with one member absent. Individual scores for the Clay Slayers were: Case Watson, 43; Tabor Trail, 41; Sam Simmons, 40 and Hunter Householder, 17.

Rector's senior high team comprised of Tyler Watson, Rylan Classen, Ryan Jackson, Justice Beck and Blane Murray finished fourth in their division. Scores for the senior high shoot were unavailable.

The Rector teams took part in the district shooting event beginning Friday. Event scores had not been updated as of press time.
