Doyne Dewayne Neeley
Doyne Dewayne Neeley, of McDougal, Ark., passed away July 25, 2013, surrounded by family at home in Flippin, Ark.
He was born May 2, 1936, in McDougal, Ark., and was the son of the late Grover and Lula Neeley.
He was united in marriage to Clara June Gettings on Oct. 25, 1955.
Doyne worked building houses and farming. He worked hard, adored his bride, loved his family, served the church and cared for his community. He did all this with careful attention to detail and a good sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lucille Neeley and Narine Bradberry and a brother, Earl Neeley.
Survivors include his wife, June Neeley; daughter, Sherry Watson and husband Bert of Flippin, Ark.; three grandchildren, Matthew Watson and wife Melissa of Mt. Vernon, Ind., Daniel Watson and wife Janaca of Niangua, Mo. and Adam Watson and fiancÚ Jennifer of Edna, Kan.; four great grandchildren, Neeley and Anna Watson, Dane Robinson, Lyndan Watson; sisters, Mary Conyers of Rector, Ark. and Jean Sutfin of Corning, Ark. and many other relatives and friends.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2013, in Hoggard and Sons Chapel, with Bro. Mike Ward and Rev. Matt Watson officiating. Burial was in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Ark. Pallbearers were Rob Bolen, Rodger Bradberry, Jim Tice, Kyle Luttrell, Eric Lawrence, Rick Neeley, Daniel Watson and Adam Watson. Honorary pallbearers were Donald Grissom, Ray White, Sonny Rigdon, Ewell Melton, Jim Scheffler, Ethridge Dees, J. D. Gettings, Bud Beecher, Larry Conyers, Ronnie Neeley and Tom Jones. Visitation was held prior to service time Sunday at Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Ark.
