Michael Lee Lamp, 42, of Arbyrd, Mo., formerly of Piggott, Ark., passed away August 5, 2013.

He was born on January 1, 1971, in Piggott, Ark., and was the son of Omer Lee and Christine (Mansfield) Lamp. His father, Omer Lee Lamp preceded him in death.

Michael served in the Marine Corp during Desert Storm and later served in the Army during Iraq Freedom. He also served as a Police Officer in Arbyrd, Hayti and Caruthersville and was a Dunklin County Deputy Sherriff.

Survivors include his wife, Ashley Lamp of Arbyrd, Mo.; mother, Christine Lamp of Piggott, Ark.; two sons, Jordan Lamp of Piggott, Ark. and Garrett Lamp of Arbyrd, Mo.; sister, Linda Harrsion of Piggott, Ark.; special friends, Jeff and Rhonda Troutt of Kennett, Mo. and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Shelley Elkins officiating. Burial is in Cummins Chapel Cemetery near Pollard, Ark. Pallbearers are Jeff Troutt, Joey Philpot, Todd Watson, Brandon Hanners, Brian James and Freddie Polk. Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Mitchell, Mitch Skelton, Robert Blankenship, Luke Boggs, Alan Foster and Omar Karnes. Visitation begins at 1 p.m. Thursday and will continue until service time
