Orpha Rosetta Brewer, 90, of Rector, died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center.

She was born March 12, 1923, in Illinois, to Oscar and Carrie Rhynes. Mrs. Brewer was a homemaker and loved painting and arts and crafts. She was a member of 5th and Pine Church of Christ.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie E. and Dianna Brewer of Rector, Phillip Dale and Connie Brewer of Atlanta, Georgia; one daughter, Gail McDonald of Jonesboro; and one brother and sister-in-law, Vernon and Louise Rhynes of Paragould. She is also survived by three sisters and brothers-in-law, Elleta and Cecil Simpson of Boydsville, Ark., Nell and Jordan Good of Paragould and Eva and Al Reiker of Montana; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leon F. Brewer; four brothers, Arthur Rhynes, Roy Rhynes, Lionel Rhynes and Everett Rhynes and three sisters, Dovie Brewer, Velma Purdom and Aleen Mills.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 17, at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector, with Ken Roden and Vernon Rhynes officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland Heights Cemetery.

Grandchildren, Phil Brewer, Ryan Brewer, Jill Dickerson, Russ Brewer, Luke Brewer, and Megan Moll will serve as pallbearers.
