The Rector Cougars beat the Piggott Mohawks by four strokes in high school golf action Tuesday, Aug. 13, at the Sugar Creek Country Club at Piggott. The Rector team got an outstanding 39 from Kade Scott, as he was low-medalist for the meet, as they beat Piggott 154-158.

Rounding out the scoring for the Cougars was Alec Scott with a 50 and Lawson Ford with a 65.

Meanwhile, the Mohawks were paced by Noah May with a 47, while Austin Murray was just one stroke off that pace with a 48 and Garrett Cook shot a 63.

The Cougars are coached by Wade Williams, while RHS grad Alan Rabjohn has taken over the Piggott program this year from former coach Nikki Speer.

Both the Mohawks and the Cougars were scheduled to be in action in a tri-match Tuesday, Aug. 20 at Corning.
