Whaley Takes Top Honors at CC Fair Talent Show

Wil Whaley of Piggott was the overall winner at the 2013 Clay County Fair Talent Show, held Saturday, Sept. 7, at the Piggott Community Center. As the local winner Whaley will represent Clay County in this year's Mid South Fair Talent Show, the world's largest amateur talent competition.

Winners were also named in other divisions during the competition.

The winner in the youth division, for contestants ages 13 to 21, was Megan Johnson of Piggott. With the win she also qualified for the upcoming Mid South Fair event in Memphis. Second place in the youth division went to the senior team from Main Street Dance of Walnut Ridge while the junior team from Main Street Dance took third place honors.

In the children's division, for 5 to 12 year old contestants, first place went to Kasee Pritchard of Corning. Garnering second place honors was Avery Claire Webb of Pollard and Emma Partridge of Corning was third.

In the adult division, first place went to Sandra Tate of Piggott.

Kenneth Renshaw served as chairman for the annual talent show, held in conjunction with the Clay County Fair.
