CCAC Fashion Show is Set
Much of the rest of the country may be shut down, but the arts in Clay County are still going strong. The Clay County Arts Council is gearing up for the holiday season and looking forward to having a bright future for area art students and the community.
The holidays are quickly approaching and the CCAC Holiday Fashion Show and Silent Auction on Oct. 24 at Sugar Creek Country Club in Piggott is a great place to begin Christmas shopping while contributing to the arts by purchasing items donated by local merchants.
The evening will feature fashions from area merchants modeled by lovely local ladies and girls. The designs will feature top trends found in locations like New York and Dallas. Honeysuckle & Home in Rector and Piggott's Feather Your Nest, Sugar Creek Kids and The Treasure Chest will have outstanding designs available, including fashions from Cover Charge, Match Point, LA Idol, Pretty Angel and more. Jewelry designs include Atresia, Scooples, Beaucoup and more. The event will also feature handbags by Vera Bradley and Fossil; boots by Madeline and men's jeans by Request.
The popular silent auction returns and will feature several items for the entire family graciously provided by local merchants. The auction will feature the beautiful painting "White Harvest," crafted by artist Jared Vaughn, a native of Piggott whose original works are available at Honeysuckle & Home. The silent auction will benefit the CCAC arts scholarships provided to Clay County students.
The evening will include a meal prepared by Sugar Creek Country Club, and is an ideal outing for couples. Tickets are still available this week at Feather Your Nest in Piggott and Honeysuckle & Home in Rector.
