Wilma (Rodgers) White, 79, of Lafe, passed from this life on Saturday, November 2, 2013, at the Rector Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on January 19, 1934, in Greene County to the late Obie and Connie Rodgers. Wilma was retired from Emerson Electric and was of the Methodist faith.
Preceding Wilma in death were her parents; two brothers, E. J. Rodgers and A. G. Rodgers; three sisters, Llima Gertrude Rodgers, Marie Brewer and Lorene Dickinson; a granddaughter, Sumer Lyn Hudspeth and a stepson, Brantley White.
Wilma is survived by her husband, Glen White; one son, Charles ˘Chuck÷ R. Chadwick and wife Lenee; three stepsons and spouses, Russell and Diane White, Jack and Diane White and Tim and Patricia White; one daughter and her husband, Katrina (Chadwick) Wofford and David; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at the Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector. Funeral Services followed with Bro. Kenny Burns officiating. Burial was held at Rock Springs Cemetery in Knob.
