Loretta Jean Parks Holt, 76, of Piggott, Ark., passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at the NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark.
She was born on December 27, 1936, in Crockett, Ark., and was the daughter of the late Robert and Alice Mobley Parks. She was also preceded in death by an infant brother, Robert.
She was united in marriage to Bill Holt on June 3, 1961, and to this union two daughters were born.
Loretta was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Piggott, Ark. She worked at Brown Shoe Company and Aerial Bouquets. In her leisure time she enjoyed singing at Magnolia Manor and shopping at flea markets. She was also known for her delicious green bean casserole and chocolate pie.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Holt; daughters, Donna Kay Whaley and husband David of Blackshear, Ga., and Terry Sue Finley and husband David of Piggott, Ark.; grandchildren: David C. Whaley of Blackshear, Ga., Aaron Whaley and wife Bethany of Warner Robins, Ga., Sarah Reagan and husband Tanner of Piggott, Ark. and Rebecca Finley of Piggott, Ark.; a sister, Virginia Robertson of Piggott, Ark. and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with David Finley officiating. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery. Pallbearers are her grandchildren, David C. Whaley, Aaron Whaley, Bethany Whaley, Sarah Reagan, Tanner Reagan and Rebecca Finley.
Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Ark., is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held beginning at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
