Clyde Lavern Stricklin

Clyde Lavern Stricklin, 68, of Lafe, died Monday, December 30, 2013, at his home.

Mr. Stricklin was born December 21, 1945, in Rector. While in the Navy, he served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He retired as a supervisor at a plastic factory. Clyde loved music, horses, Western movies and John Wayne.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie Stricklin of the home; six sons, Douglas (Donna) Dover of Ft. Hood, Texas, Tim (Jessica) Partridge of Lafe, Matt (Jennifer) Partridge of Marmaduke, Jimmy (Tammy) Partridge of Lafe, Daniel Stricklin of the home, and Clyde Lavern Stricklin II of the home; two daughters, Tiffany (Jim) Elder of Marmaduke and Judy Stricklin of the home. He is also survived by one sister, Ruby Chamberlin of Rector; and fifteen grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Judy Stricklin.

Funeral services were held Thursday, January 2, at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel, Rector, with Ken Roden officiating. Burial followed in Woodland Heights Cemetery.

Doug Dover, Matt Partridge, Jimmy Partridge, Tim Partridge, Mike Harbaugh and Matt Tambling served as pallbearers.
