Samuel Joe Anderson, 77, of Piggott, Ark., died Thursday, January 16, at Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott. Ark. He was born November 8, 1936 at Qulin, Mo. He lived at Qulin all of his life, and was a retired construction worker. He was of the General Baptist Faith and a member of Four Mile #212 AF&AM at Campbell.

On Dec. 13, 1971 he married Stella Kester, and she survives.

Other survivors include one son, Jerry Kester and his special friend, Linette Holdiness, of MerRouge, La.; one daughter, Patricia (Randy) Pickle of Cedrickville, Mo.; one brother, Grady Anderson of Hillsboro, Mo.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his parents, John Tee and Marry Anna (Potter) Anderson; two sisters, Edith Cathleen Young and Carmen Bess and one brother, Lester Anderson.

Masonic services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Qulin, Mo. Afterward, a visitation was held until 6 p.m.
