The recent winter weather has jumbled the high school basketball schedule for the Cougars and Mohawks, and resulted in several postponements. Here is the updated schedule as the teams wind down the regular season and look forward to district and regional play.

All four Piggott Mohawk teams will travel to Earle today, Monday, Feb. 10, to make up the conference set with the Bulldogs. The junior girls will tip at 4 p.m. followed by the junior boys, senior girls then senior boys.

Meanwhile, the 2A-3 junior district at Marmaduke will also get underway this evening with the Rector Lady Cougars drawing Augusta in the first round with a 6 p.m. scheduled tip-off. The junior boys team will be playing Wednesday, with opponent and start time yet to be determined.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 11 the same schedule as Monday night will be used as the Tribe hosts the Manila Lions at PHS. The junior girls and junior boys will play in the early contests, beginning at 4 p.m., followed by senior night festivities. Afterward the senior girls will take on the Lady Lions, and the boy's varsity squads will meet in the nightcap.

The 3A-3 junior district tournament is slated to get underway Wednesday at Hoxie, and the Mohawk boy's team has drawn a 6:30 p.m. start against Osceola. Meanwhile, the junior girls will also be in action at Hoxie, but due to make-up games the time and opponent has yet to be determined.

The regular season finale for both the Mohawks and the Cougars senior high teams will be played Thursday night at Rector with the first game set to tip-off at 6 p.m.

Luckily, the weather forecast seems favorable for the week. And, any changes to the schedule and updates will be posted to cctimesdemocrat.com as they become available.
