Pictured in action from Thursday night's season finale at RHS are Mohawk center Trevor Grubb, who missed Monday night's district tournament game due to illness, and Rector center Reed Weber, who played a key role in the Cougar's first round district tournament win over McCrory.

The Rector Cougars advanced to the second round of their district tournament at BIC Monday night with an overtime win over McCrory. Meanwhile, the Piggott Lady Mohawks and the Tribe were eliminated in their district at Harrisburg. The girls squad fell to Hoxie, while the boy's team lost by three points to the host Hornets in their first round game.

The Cougars advance into the second round and will play at 8:30 Wednesday against Riverside.

Meanwhile, the Lady Cougars have a bye until the quarterfinals, and will take on the winner of the EPC-Marked Tree game at 4 p.m. Thursday at Monette.

Good luck to both Cougar squads!
