Area Firefighters Attend Training

Firefighters from across Clay County have been taking part in mandatory search and rescue training at Piggott Fire Station Number One the past few weeks. On Thursday, Feb. 20 firefighters from Piggott, Rector, Pollard, Greenway and McDougal were in attendance. Pictured is Paragould Fire Chief Kevin Lang, who also serves as a training officer for Black River Technical College, as he presented an update on the use of thermal imaging equipment. Firefighters are required to complete 16 hours of search and rescue training each year.
