Sheila Janine Cook Taylor
Shelia Janine Cook Taylor, 48, of Piggott, Ark., passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at her home.
She was born on September 6, 1965, in Kennett, Mo., and is the daughter of Weldon Mobley and Elaine Mobley.
She was united in marriage to Mark Taylor on Nov. 12, 2011.
Shelia worked for the State of Arkansas Department of Human Services/Division of Children and Family Services for almost 25 years. Her passion was working with and helping the families and children of Clay County and working with Area 8 foster parents. She was an avid Cardinal's and Mohawk's fan and was an excellent Scrabble player. Above all, she loved being a mother to Joshua and wife to Mark.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Taylor of Piggott, Ark.; son, Joshua Cook of Piggott, Ark.; mother, Elaine Mobley of Piggott, Ark.; father, Weldon Mobley and wife Brenda of Rector, Ark.; five stepchildren, Marcus Taylor of St. Francis, Ark., Samantha Nolen of Knob, Ark., Keith Taylor of Kellyville, Okla., Heath Taylor of San Springs, Okla., Kenny Taylor of Neelyville, Mo.; five step grandchildren, Marcus, Michael, Stephen, Dylan and Murray; brother, Nelson Mobley and wife Thess of Richmond, Ky.; sister, Sherri Burris and husband Mark of Piggott, Ark.; BFF Dena Bell and honorary sister Celia Clemons and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Rob Welborn officiating. Burial is in Williams Cemetery near Piggott, Ark. Pallbearers are Cody Burris, David Ballard, Steve Baker, Zackary Jones, Keith Taylor and Heath Taylor. Honorary Pallbearers are PHS Class of 1983. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Ark., is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, until service time.
