Now that basketball season is over, post-season honors are being announced. Both the Cougars and the Mohawks have players named to the All-Conference Squads in their respective districts.

All-Conference selections for the Lady Cougars and Cougars are, Anna Blackshare, Kristen Smart, Adam Dinkins, Alec Scott, Reed Weber, Kendal Gunn, Bailey Haney and Bekah Scott.

Meanwhile, multi-sport star Kacey Crossfield was selected for the Lady Mohawks. Kacey was also chosen as an All-Conference and All-State selection for the Lady Mohawk volleyball team the past two seasons in a row. Kacey is also not resting on her laurels this spring, and is a member of the Lady Mohawk softball squad.

Chosen as 3A-3 All-Conference basketball selections this year for the Piggott Mohawks are seniors Austin Murray and Will Jett. During the Mohawk season-finale against Harrisburg, in the District Tournament, Murray also earned the distinction of eclipsing 1,000 points for his high school career--finishing with 1,018. Murray was also an All-Conference selection for the football Mohawks, and was chosen for the same two post-season honors in football and basketball as a junior--a rare feat for a high school athlete. Murray has also been nominated to play in the AHSCA All-Star football game later this year. Meanwhile, Jett was also an All-District and All-State selection for the Mohawk tennis team last fall and the previous season, and competed in the state tournament two years in a row. The two talented members of the Tribe aren't taking the spring off though, as both are currently on the roster of the Mohawk baseball squad.
