Peggy Ellen (Wilson) Williams
Peggy Ellen Wilson Williams, 78, of Springfield, Mo., formerly of Piggott, Ark., passed away March 27, 2014, at the James River Care and Rehabilitation Facility in Springfield, Mo.
She was born on October 1, 1935, in Greenbrier, Ark., and she was the daughter of the late Ben and Effie (Hartwick) Little.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 44 years, E.W. Wilson in 1999; her husband, Ray Williams in 2011; her sister, Louise Williams and her brother, Bob Little.
Peggy was a teacher's aide for Piggott Elementary School for many years and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Piggott. She enjoyed reading, cooking (especially desserts), gardening and walking.
Survivors include her children, Janet Frierson and husband David of Springfield, Mo., Nanci Wilson of Fordland, Mo. and Beverly Hill and husband John of Clarkton, Mo.; grandchildren, Ryan Frierson and wife Sharah, Ross Frierson and wife Dena, Adam Booth, Lauren Miller and husband John, Mitchell Pollard and Amanda Pollard; nine great-grandchildren, Lily, Leland, Logan, Maria, Timothy, Heaven, Trinity, Nathan and Melissa; three sisters, Billie Faye Parrish of Jonesboro, Ark., Betty Baker and husband Coy of Mountain Home, Ark., and Shirley Shelton and husband Wayne of Kennett, Mo.; sister-in-law, Ellene Little of Rector, Ark. and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, 2014, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with David Frierson officiating. Burial was in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Ark. Pallbearers were Ryan Frierson, Adam Booth, Mitchell Pollard, Steve Bode, Rick Baker, Roger Little, Steve Shelton and Ron Williams. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Ark., was in charge of the arrangements. Visitation was held Sunday afternoon prior to services at the funeral home.
