Weather Wreaks Havoc on Tribe Baseball Schedule

Piggott's Alex Treat takes a hack in action from earlier this season at Independence Park.

Spring weather continues to be a key foe for the Mohawk baseball team, as the squad has battled rain and wet conditions throughout the early weeks of the season. The Tribe was originally scheduled to visit Corning Monday afternoon, then host the Bobcats in the first round of the Duel on the Diamond at Paragould this weekend. Later, the schedule was adjusted to a double-header Monday, March 31 at Corning.

The Tribe is slated to take part in the tournament at Paragould this weekend, although the complete bracket and schedule was not available as of press time.

The Mohawks will be back in action on Monday, April 7 as they host the Manila Lions at Independence Park. The Tribe was scheduled to host Corning on Tuesday, April 8, but attempts had been made to re-schedule the contest. Afterward, the schedule is jumbled as some non-conference games are likely to be cancelled and conference contests re-scheduled as the weather permits.

Updated schedule changes and results will be posted to cctimesdemocrat.com and to the Mohawk Bullpen Club facebook page.
