Grace Bristol, 101 of Chandler, Ariz., passed away peacefully on April 12, 2014. Grace was born in Piggott on August 2, 1912, to Ira W. and Cora Harlan.
She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Harry Mason Bristol and her son, Harry Mason Bristol II.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Patty Bristol of Kerrville, Texas; grandson, Harry Mason Bristol III (Renee) of Mankato, Minn.; granddaughters, Elizabeth Parks (Grady) of Chandler, Ariz. and Catherine Wicker (Danny) of Stony Point, N. Car.
Grace played basketball in high school and had a letter jacket with the nickname "Feisty" on it. This was the perfect description of her and her wonderful, witty sense of humor. She and her husband Harry loved to travel and had camped all over the USA and in Canada. She truly never met a stranger, and she stayed in contact with her many friends she had met over the years. She will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered for all the joy she brought in the lives of those who knew and cherished her joyful presence. She is now at peace and resting in the Kingdom of God.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014, at the Piggott Cemetery in Piggott. Visitation will be held at noon at the Irby Funeral Home of Piggott.
