Jared Vaughn (center) shares a thought with Paul Hoggard during the art show held Friday, April 18 at Piggott State Bank

Piggott State Bank hosted a show of the works of artist Jared Vaughn on Friday, April 18. Vaughn, a native of Piggott and graduate of PHS, has been featured in several previous shows at the local bank.

In fact, several of Vaughn's works, commissioned by bank president and CEO Paula O. Blackwell, adorn the walls of the local financial institution.

Now a resident of Paragould, following his graduation from PHS Vaughn attended the Memphis College of Art where he attained a degree in graphic design. In the years since he has developed his own unique form of expressionism, which includes both painting and creating works of art with abstract items and re-purposed antiques.

In the years since, his craft has developed into a fulltime vocation and he now has an appreciative following.
