Leroy Bolton, 82, of Piggott, Ark., passed away June 1, 2014, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
He was born July 7, 1931, in Rector, Ark., and was the son of the late Clyde and Beatrice (Thaxon) Bolton.
He was united in marriage to Deloris June Curtis on Sept. 3, 1949.
Leroy attended the First Church of God in Piggott, Ark.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Deloris Bolton; two daughters, Sharon Wood and husband Jim of Kerrville, Tex. and Janet Chism and husband Mitch of Sardus, Miss.; two granddaughters, Clarissa Johnson and husband Clint on Bryant, Ark. and Amber Dooley of Paragould; great-granddaughter Abbie Johnson; siblings, Herbert Bolton of Piggott, Ark., Norma Thompson of Paragould, Ark., Glenda Watts of Flushing, Mich., Joe Bolton of Piggott, Ark., Vonna Jean Cummings of Jonesboro, Ark. and Sandra Kilbreath of Puxico, Mo. and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Gary Laughlin officiating. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Ark. Pallbearers are Donald Foster, Melford Cummings, G. S. Kilbreath, Clint Johnson, Dan Baird and Charles Haywood. Honorary pallbearers are Jim Wood, Joe Bolton, Bill Curtis and Jerry Buchanan.
Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Ark., is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
