Regena Tryriceann Scott Branum, 57, of Kennett, passed from this life on Friday, May 23, 2014, at The Med in Memphis. She was born on October 9, 1956, in Kennett to Billy Joe and Shelby Jean (Smart) Scott.
She graduated with a degree in Fashion Merchandising from Lowenstein's Girl's School in Memphis, and held a Bachelor of Science in zoology from Arkansas State University.
Regena loved teaching her granddaughter to sing gospel songs, enjoyed playing the piano, oil painting and being the decorator for special occasions. She was the owner of Branum's Disposal Service and was active at the Living Word Tabernacle Church.
Regena was preceded in death by her father, Billy Joe Scott.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Jennifer Branum Walton of Rector; husband: Allan Branum; her mother, Shelby Jean (Smart) Scott; two brothers, Eddie Joe Scott and Randy Scott of Rector; two sisters, Gayla Scott and Lori Scott Bradshaw of Rector; one granddaughter, Madelyn Olivia Walton of Rector; nieces and nephews, Joseph Scott, Michelle Moody, Danielle Rose Green, Dusty Scott and Brittany Bradshaw; great nieces and nephews, Chelsey Scott, Chance Scott, Lexie Green, Lawson Green, Wyatt Green, Silas Moody and Zoie Moody; several aunts, uncles numerous cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held on Friday May 30, 2014, at Living Word Tabernacle Church in Gibson, Mo. with Bro. Bill Ivy officiating. Interment followed at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.
