Piggott Summer Tennis League Underway

The Piggott Municipal Tennis Courts have remained active this summer, with tennis clinics and a summer league. Long time PHS tennis coach Paul Seegraves is coordinating the effort, which included clinics and league play for both elementary school prospects and the members of the Mohawk tennis squad.

Seegraves reports four divisions of the Piggott Summer League will continue play throughout the month of July. Currently, there are a total of 38 participants in the league, which consists of the junior girls, junior boys, senior girls and senior boys.

Each of the divisions will also be holding an end-of-season tournament at the local courts.

The junior girls division is scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, July 17 while the junior boy's division tourney will be held on Monday, July 21. The senior girls division will hold their tournament the following day, Tuesday, July 22, and the senior boys will hold theirs on Thursday, July 24.
